American Farmhouse Ale Brewed with Spelt, Dry-hopped with Amarillo. 750 ml | 5.4% ABV.
As spring emerges, we sought to brew a lower ABV farmhouse with a bright dry-hop meant to reference Belgian Saisons that often have a similar hop presence when consumed fresh in Europe. However, breaking with tradition, we decided to utilize an American Farmhouse yeast strain, American Amarillo hops & spelt in our grain bill. Spelt is an ancient variety of wheat first used in brewing some 10,000 years ago by the Sumerians! Spelt lends mild, nutty flavours with a slight tangy backbone.- A generous dry-hop of American Amarillo hops lends a sweet-orangey taste paired with a slight emerging funk & soft balanced finish.
